I bought a remington 700 in 22-250 with the x-mark pro tigger its a good feelin tigger but it is too heavy... on a tigger pull gauge it is about 5 lbs does any one know how this tigger adjusts and has anyone every done it. Remington says it is fully adjustable and it is suppose to be 40% lower from the factory well if that is the case it would have been a 9 lb tigger thank for your help

The new shooting times did a deal on that trigger. Let me go find it and I will let you know what I come up with.

April 08 shooting times says " Remington says it is fully adjustable, by a qualified gunsmith". So it sounds to me like they didnt design it like the Savage Accutrigger in that an simple twist of a screwdriver will adjust the trigger. You may be able to contact remington and get it lowered for free. Let us know what Remington said if you decide to do that.

ok so i just got off the phone with remington customer service and from what he said there is basically 2 warrenties on the gun one for the gun itself and 1 on the tigger..... to keep the warrenty on the trigger you have to send it to a remington authorized gunsmith and the closest one to me is about 200 miles, but any gunsmith can do it, it will just void the warrenty on the trigger but not the one on the gun and they can only lower it to factory specs which s between 3 and 6 lbs but it can go as lower than that but if you put an aftermarket trigger in it you will loose every warrenty on the gun so ether way you go you are screwed

Hey BG thats exactly why their waranty is the way it is. It burns me and you not Remington. Did they say what it would cost with shipping? What would the fees altogether cost to have Remington to do it? Compare that cost to getting a new Timney or Jewell Trigger and you will get your answer. A guy gets a new gun you dont really want to have to put a new trigger in it though.
