savage rifle left hand modle

wanting to buy a new savage left hand rifle with scope for coyote hunting. would be shooting 100 to 400 yds. decided on the 243 from reading lote of post. do not care about fur damage as they are not worth saving here in central il. about all there coyotes are run with dogs. went on a ride along last year 10 teams 36 dogs that day.. this year 47 dogs 1 day. yes that a lot of coyotes. what would u guys buy in the savage as to modle and scope with what power. thanks a lot dean havens

Savage model 110 and a Leupold VXIII 3.5x 10 40mil objective. If your getting a bull barrel or varmint style gun then get a bigger objective.

Also for a modestly priced scope try the Swift 44 mag line. With a mil dot.

Other than a used 110 or a 111 you don't have much choice in Savages. I'd get a 111 with a accutrigger. I like a Nikon BDC 3x9x40 for an appropriately priced scope. I also like the Sightron SI for the dollar. There are so many good scopes out there though, the choices are endless.

*Caution* Make sure if you do get an Accutrigger that you shoot one BEFORE you buy one. Tons of guys love the accutrigger, I hate them. I mean really hate them. Definately shoot one before you buy one to see if you can stand it. :rofl:
