Unknown Duck /Goose

Okay I have searched books after books and found online a possible match,but this bird was found in with a flock of geese in my home town,it is able to fly and is hanging tight with in this flock of geese! I am just trying to figure out what it is,so have at it and let me know what everyone thinks!Sorry but this is as close as I could get!

Colorwise that looks like a Ruddy Shelduck. That would be a real trophy come duck season :hammer:

Looks exactly like a ruddy shelduck, one with a serious honker complex. I think that would make sense for the region too. I want to kill it :drool:

That is what I came up with myself! I am glad you guys think it is too! Wish duck season was open right now,he is hanging in there every day with these canadians!I would love to blast that bird!

A lot of Ruddy Shelducks are kept in Aviaries. Natives of Asia but probably an escapee.
Helping waterfowl make bad decisions since 1961.
