New to Photography

I was out playing around today. I have a Nikon Cool Pix L100. It's not an SLR camera by any means but wanted to see what it would do. I played around with the macro and ISO settings to get different pictures. I don't think it's to bad for a point and shoot camera. I would rather have an SLR though. Someday. These aren't ducks or wildlife but you have to start somewhere so I was out playing around the house.

Nice shots. I'm new at the photography thing also. Always wanted to do it, but too many other interest and not enough money.
I've been shooting for about a year now and I've only saved about 10 shots. It's a been long learning curve for me (and still is), you get very critical of your own work......But it's really fun.

You can shoot anytime and any where.....no seasons, no license, no limits. This makes it very attractive for old guys like me.

I still hunt and fish, but photography has added a really interesting new element to the outdoors.
