Noob questions

Postby lumpy2181 » Tue Sep 07, 2010 8:36 pm

Hey everyone, I am looking for as much of an all around SLR for the family that can withstand some trips to the blind with me during the season. I am completely ignorant of cameras and accessories. Where would be a good place to purchase online? Is there anything like a collar clinic for cameras that does refurbished deals? This will mainly be used for normal family pics but I would like something that can handle some fast action shots for the hunting pics. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

read a LOT online before taking a leap... your better off getting a pro slr-super zoom and will get great results..

you can get a nikon p80 for a couple hundo and it would be similar to a 300mm lens

it takes great pics, I started on one and still will go get one some day.

it has advanced user settings, and will be a great place to start!!

oh yea, it takes good video too
