Snowbirds

Postby REM1100 » Wed Jul 20, 2011 2:24 am

Went and caught these Canadian snowbirds in flight. It was a good chance to try my Sigma 400mm f5.6 lens
It was tough to frame these planes in formation panning a heavy long lens and I guess the lens was OK for the bargain price of $250 used. Shots were up from 1/4 to 1/2 mile

Great looking pics! I have been looking to pick up an affordable 400mm. I have a cannon 70-300mm 4-5.6 and I always have it at 300mm wishing I had at least another 100mm. I have been tossing around the idea of getting a 2x extender and will probably end up getting both at some point hahaha. Looks like you had a great day for the air show!
He who laughs last didn't get it.
