ok well my dad used to go to BC all the time and i have seen pictures from it. These pics are from austria.
870 the whole tradition is call the last bite. It is a way for the hunter and the animal combined with each other. Once you have harvested an animal you place a pine branch or some kind of plant they feed on in there mouths and then u take another branch and wiped it with the blood from the bullet entry and place that one your hat. It is just an custom to show a good and fair hunt, also it is a sign of a true hunter. Plus it is another way to respect and honor the game we hunt. I follow the tradtitions because now a days hunting is so modern and changed from the past with all the high tech stuff, that we loose sight of the true reason we are out there, which is to be in the outdoors and enjoy the game we see and if were lucky take one. These tradition also span back centuries, and thanks to my dad they will keep goign wit me.
