? about someone using my pic

Postby Wld Fowl » Sun Nov 23, 2008 1:29 pm

The local paper used one of my photos for two of there stories but there was no recognition to me, I was not asked if they could use it ether.

What do you think I can do about this?

Tell them you have more pics about what hunting is really about and you would be glad to show them if they could feature you in some article upcomming.

Personally I would be happy that somebody appreciated my photos as I post them to share/instruct the moments with others
AS a matter of fact some of my photos are cropped and used as avators.

I do however charge people when I photgraph their homes as my part time job..that is business

I called the paper and spoke with the editor. He told me he does not know how it got in there database but he really loved the pic.

He told me he was going to reprint the pic on the front page with a little bio of myself.

That pic is worthy of printing  ..too bad it is in a newspaper and not a magazine for clarity

That's a great catch Wld Fowl.
I use to visit Chincoteague a couple of time each summer for the flounder fishing.
I really enjoyed the beaches and the wildlife on over on the barrier island.

We always stayed at the Lighthouse Motel, at that time it was owned and operated by Gary Daisy. He and his wife were very nice people and ran a nice little place.

We ate at The Pony Pines and Bills and the food was outstanding.
It's been a long time since I made the trip. We stopped going the year McDonald's invaded the island.

I was not into photography at that time, would love to go back now.
