The S60 appears to have features that deal with image blur. This was clipped from a dpreview.com
The camera boasts three functions to reduce image blur. High-performance Image Sensor Vibration Reduction (VR) allows sharp pictures with minimal blur even in telephoto shooting using optical zoom and digital zoom. Its superior noise-reduction ISO technology allows a sensitivity range up to ISO 3200 with pixel addition for correct exposure and sharpness even in low-light conditions. Thirdly, with Nikon’s Best Shot Selector, the camera takes a maximum of 10 sequential shots and automatically saves the sharpest image. This is ideal for macro close-up shooting when camera shake is difficult to avoid.
The fact that you can set the ISO spped up to 3200 means that you should be able to, in proper lighting, get a clear action shot without image blur.
As I began this effort on my camera, Nikon D70s, it took some experimentation to get the right settings down, but with a little practice, the shots became fairly easy to take.
Hope this helps.
