Navy NWU

For the active duty Navy folks,

I just purchased the New NWU uniform (Tactical Blueberry's :grooving: ) and I'm thinking the gortex jacket will serve a second purpose in the layout boat. What do you think?

Interesting to say the least......I'm glad I am a Seabee, I hated when we switched from "Greens" to "Cammies". Again the Navy Fubars it..........still can't stop & get a bite to eat while in your NWU. While the AF & Army are free to go where they want

I like to refer to them as "water camo"...a layout boat is a great idea though...
The function of the Navy is to take the fight to the enemy so that it will not be fought on our soil.

Our Master Chief says a little bird told him by 2011 the Bees will have different Uni's Rumor control say we are going to the Marine Corps digitals. Don't see why the NWU's wouldn't work for layout hunting.

Actually big Navy went back and revised the original ruling on where the NWU can be worn. You can now go out to lunch in them but only fast food joints and you can shop in them but only for a few items at the grocery store. Still some really stupid rules on them but better than they were.
Shellback, Squid, Old Tar.....Yep, that's me. All Navy. Don't worry, I'll scare 'em your way.....

You know it kills me at how F'ed up the Navy is when it come to uniforms. I have been in for 22 yrs, wore the old Dungaree's for almost ten year and over the last twelve years they have changed our uniforms three times, ***!!!! Why can't we be original like we always have been.

thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --WOW -- " What a ride!!!

I agree forget this PC crap and lets go back to the good ole days.... bell bottoms, beards, heavy drinking, and a felling of tradition that sea faring people have shared for hundreds of years!!!

As for the NWU it's really hot and a million times beter than the utilities!!! I bet it would work really well for any open water style hunting. Too bad there is no way in the world i'm paying almost $200 for that jacket!!!! that's crazy....
