TASK FORCE WATERFOWL

Postby taskforcewaterfowl » Sat Aug 31, 2013 2:12 pm

My name is Rudy and I'm active duty Army, currently overseas for this season but home base is Fort Knox.

I'm also the co-founder of Task Force Waterfowl. A non-profit dedicated to getting soldiers, veterans and wounded warriors out into the blind around the country. The purpose of the organization is to network individuals and groups with similar goals around the country and at all the different military installations to create and fund waterfowl hunting opportunities for those who have never been before or have difficulty making that duck hunting dream a reality. With nation-wide and service-wide reach we can ensure a resilient brotherhood of waterfowlers will be waiting to welcome you whenever you may PCS or ETS!

We have a solid group of 'Wingmen' and sponsors across the country and have several hunts planned for this coming season. If you would like to join forces please head to http://www.facebook.com/taskforcewaterfowl or email us if you want to participate or help out. taskforcewaterfowl@gmail.com

Thanks!!

Rudy

Rudy, excellent Idea for a NPO. I viewed your FB page and was impressed. With the growing amount of NPO's asking for $ on behalf of veterans and/or wounded warriors it has me wondering how many WW's actually benefit from the donations. What you are doing, albeit on a small scale (for now), ensures that WW's are getting the opportunity to get out of the house and in the woods or on the water, which you can't put a price on.

I will send you an email, I have a few ideas for you.

We've been fortunate through our first season as an organization to get over 900 likes on facebook and facilitate just over a dozen hunts for over 50 military members and Veterans. This year we got guys out at Fort Drum, Fort Bragg, Fort Sill, Fort Benning, Hunter Army Airfield, Eustis/Langley, Illinois, Fort Knox and ARKANSAS. We have representatives in over 17 states and bases and supporters in England and New Zealand. Please come by the site and check us out!!!

Here are some pics from the two Arkansas hunts from last week!

Hey guys!! Messaged you all back, as for the stickers and t-shirts we've been pushing those out through the local wingmen for their hunters.

They'll be available for purchase through pre-order soon! Anything else youd like to see??
