I'm currently in Bagdad Iraq Sather airbase for six month.

Currently deployed in Iraq. Escorted a few convoys TQ.and was at Sather/Sietz last night. Got two wks left. Cant wait to get back to the states.

Forgot to mention it in the above post but I saw 7 Shovelers flying to roost on Sietz last night. Had no idea that there were Smilin Mallards over here..had seen a few gadwall and teal looking birds with less color but these were with out a doubt Shovelers. The drakes were full color. Kinda neat i thought...if i'd have had somethin aside from 00 buckshot for my shotgun it'd have been over with:)

thats what i noticed in iraq though i was south of baghdad in the boonies and all the fish ponds they had where loaded with mallards and there was some guy standing on the side of the road holding up a hen and a drake by the neck

i currently in bagdad iraq at camp falcon, i hate this place but ill be back in duck country in march and lookin to lay the smack down on some turkeys with my bow and start scouting for the greenheads. be safe all, bc i know i am.

I got back from Camp Cropper/Camp Stryker in September. Seen a lot of coot in the ditches and about a dozen White Front Geese over on Slayer.
