Postby trouttracker » Tue Mar 11, 2008 5:22 pm

Today is my mothers b-day well early this morning she gat a call. My nephew is in a unit that he can't say where he is going and when he will be back. He called this morning to tell her he got a call and he was leaving and just wanted to say good bye and that he loved them the most he could say was at least 6 months. this is his 4 time and at least he got to see his son born last month.

Bad timing, not that anytime is good for a mother, grandmother, sister, wife......It'll never get easier for the ones who are left behind. I know it's hard for your nephew to leave, especially with a newborn son but for those that serve there is something that calls them. We cannot explain it to those that have not experienced it, we just hope they understand. Pray for him and all his military brethren that they return home safely.

And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
"I served in the United States Navy"
