New Marine in the Quantico area

Postby OutdoorAviator » Sun Oct 19, 2008 9:32 am

Hey everyone... I've been a member of DHC for about 2 years now, was mostly just a browser at first due to finishing college/working full time, but now hoping I can give plenty of advice and insight to other hunters out there.

I'm from California, born and raised, and did the best I could with the limited hunting opportunities in the San Francisco bay area. I've hunted most of the divers (ruddy ducks, spoonies, bluebills, buffleheads, cans) and have just a few others under my belt (widgeon, a mallard, teal, and a lone goose). Just moved out here to Stafford a few days ago, a 2nd Lt in the USMC and hoping I can get a good jump on seeing what's available here in Virginia. I also love other bird hunting, as well as deer and turkey.

If anyone's got any advice, or wouldn't mind me tagging along (I've got plenty of dekes, camo, my own gun, and will offer to drive as well) I'd love to hear from other hunters near by.

Thanks.. :help:

And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
