First Turkey!!! and got it on film!

Postby lukea.becker » Thu May 05, 2011 9:25 pm

Hey everyone, went out today with a fellow DHC member who was kind enough to take me out and show me the ropes this season, and it all came together perfectly. We heard him gobble a few hundred yards away so we went across the field and into the timber, called one more time and when he responded we moved closer to him and set up. I had brought my camera just in case and I just got lucky to be in a spot where I could put the camera on the log I was hiding behind so I just turned it on and hit record. The shot wasnt very centered in the camera but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Its about 5 minutes long. the turkey weighed somewhere around 20lbs we guessed and had a 10in beard and probably 3/4in spurs. Im definitely hooked on this now. If anyone knows how to embed the video I can't figure it out but the link is at the bottom of the page. Let me know what you think. thanks!
