Sumtoy or Carlson?

Postby dmac1175 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 2:21 pm

Got a Mossburg 835 for this year. Trying to decide on a good turkey choke. A friend of mine has the Carlson for his 835 and likes it but i have heard good about the Sumtoy .675. Just curious your thoughts.

In most of the turkey patterning circles Carlson does not get alot of love. I have spoke with William of Sumtoy and he really has an indepth knowledge of chokes and loads. Out of all the choke makers he seems the hungriest right now to make thinks work with the given load choices.. He has a great reputation of working with the customer swapping and tweaking to get them satisfied.

The 835 is continually the best performer out of all the guns with factory ammo.. Some other chokes that have shown great performance out of your gun.

Pure Gold 670
Indian Creek 675
Tru Glo SSX 670 (bargain)

What loads do you intend on shooting? Lead, Hevi 7s, Mag Blend, Fed 7s
