my biggest turkey

got my spring turkey. first hunt turkey hunt with out an adult to help call. i ended up getting a double bearded tom with a 8 1/4 in beard and a 9 1/2 in beard. my biggest, it had 3/4 in spurs and weight was 19.57 lbs.

when I first started turkey hunting 30 years ago an old timer told me "the caller owns the bird". He was saying that the primary reason for success generally comes down to who is doing the calling, the shooting part is pretty easy. It's nice to be able to call and kill your own bird.
