This morning was our first time out and they did not disappoint. We checked several spots and heard 20 to 30 different gobblers. Jakes were thicker than fleas on a dog last year so it appears we are going to have a bumper crop of two year olds this year. Youth season is two weeks from this weekend and my son and I will be trying to get his first bird.

I've been ready since goose season closed. Got out the old calls and brushed up the turkey gun. The season starts April 1st here.
