4 wheelers and Turkeys

Postby orangefoot » Sat Mar 22, 2008 4:48 pm

How bad does a 4 wheeler scare a turkey? I mean if you ride it down into the swamp right where they are. Will it scare them out of the country or will they just hide and still be in the same spot they always stay.

Say you ride the 4 wheeler down there at least once everyday.

It's my experience that a turkey will not pay any attention to ATV's. I've ridden right into the middle of a flock out turkeys, only to have them flush at the last min. BUT... while I do use mine to get into some of the out of the way places, I still stop short , I want that old gobbler to think it's just another day in the turkey woods and he and his girls are the only ones around.
