Postby hunter121390 » Mon May 05, 2008 8:55 am

with my truk. i was driving down a highway doing about 60, when a big tom flew up out of the grass. i hit it with the side of my truck. it broke a big piece off of my grill, screwed up my headlight, and broke my blinker. ill get pics up later of my truck. i didn't get any pictures of hte turkey because the cop that stopped by me when i was on the road cleaning up the debris on the road, wouldn't let me touch the tom or take pictures. it flew like 50 feet after i hit it. scared the living crap out of me.

Man, that sucks.

That's weird, he wouldn't let you take it? If you hit a deer here, if you want it, you can take it. Saves them the cleanup. I would imagine it would the same with a turkey.

Haha I hear of that more often than not. It seems like every year I drive home from school and see dead turkeys on the road. I had to stop for two hens on the bypass last year.

Last summer I was driving home from lake erie where i had been doin some walleye fishing with my best friend, and we are cruising down the highway but up ahead we can see some black shape by the side of the road. we are both kinda puzzled and trying to figure out what it might be. when we get up to it, it was a big old tom sittin on the gaurd rail just watching the cars go by. i thought it was pretty funny him just perched on that rail like it was something he did all the time.

Didn't think of that. It makes sense.
