A wild turkey hunting forum for hunting turkeys in the spring and fall seasons.

Just went out and looked at my ranches over the weekend and our birds are already making some moves. Last year we did well but man did we have a bunch of jakes. This year it looks like we will have plenty of long-beards to go around. I hunt mostly in South and West Texas and the drought hasn't affected the adults yet. Should be a good season this year but if we don't get some rain soon, the nest numbers will be down for sure. I am a new sponsor to the forum and I still have plenty of hunts to sell this year. If you would like to hunt Texas this year, feel free to give me a call or email me anytime. Thanks, Capt Brian.

It amazes me how big the flocks of birds you guys have out west. If we have a flock of 15 -20 birds, it a nice size flock here in Va. Some places out there, they will cover up a field
