North Tx/SW Ok Turkeys

Postby jlemie1 » Fri Mar 13, 2009 6:25 pm

Hey guys, I'm gonna be in Wichita Falls, Tx for two weeks in April with one weekend off in the middle. I would really like to get a hunt in that weekend. I was thinking about going up to Altus/Lugert WMA in Ok because I hunted it before when I was stationed at Altus AFB. But with only 2 days to hunt and no time to scout I'm considering going with an outfitter instead. If anyone has any reccomendations I would greatly appreciate it. I would offer to swap a La deer or duck hunt with someone but it seems I'll be spending my hunting season deployed. I appreciate any help. April 11/12th are the dates.

Jeremy,
I'am just 50 minutes north of Wichita Falls. (Lawton Area) S.W. OK.
If you get this reply in time send me a p.m.

I got a few places you can go hunt about 30-40 minutes north of Wichita Falls.
Turkeys are thick & hunting pressure has been little to none.
Got a 20 # Tom with 1 1/16" spurs & a 9" beard on Tuesday morning.

More then glad to help you out & get ya in a good hunting location.
