Yeah, we start ours tomorrow, but I have to work all week. I may be getting sick Tuesday though so
It's a fact that 70 percent of the people who purchase heavier tackle do so with the categorical I just lost a huge snook! Einstein Hairdo. The other 30 percent have either Tarpon Fever or are sporting a hand cramped into a claw from a deepwater grouper.

I didn't get what I had hoped but it was still a fun time. Got up at around 5:45 and walked at 6. My friend and I sat around for a good hour and a half before a couple turkeys came out of the brush. First 2 hens, then 2 more hens, then 2 HUGE toms, and a couple more hens. 2 hens quickly walked up the field, and the toms followed slowly, but stopped mid-field. Now they were just out range of our 12ga. shotty's. (I was debating on bringing the 10ga. or not). My dad couldn't call them any closer than they were already, and soon they went back into the woods. My adrenaline was going crazy though, hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to whack one of them.

Good luck you guys. I hope you all bag your birds whether your season is in full swing or up and coming. Dont give up, persistance will pay off. It took me till the fourth day this year to bag my gobbler. Most adverstity ive had in quite some time. We had allot of rain that flooded my number one woods and put the kibash on allot of scouting and opportunity. If i could hunt the neighboring property it wouldnt have been and issue, but since i couldnt, it was a BIG blow to my succsess in that location. Luckily i had a plan B and it paid off. See my post "Great show". When you gotta work for em the succsess is so much sweeter...Believe me. ...dont give up.
