Wish we could shoot doves here in Maine, when I was in Virginia in the service I was obsessed with hunting them, some of the most fun I've had hunting, and good to eat too.

I can't wait! My wife is going with me this year for her first dove hunt, so that should be fun too. It's also a good way to know if the dog training all summer long took before i get in the duck blind too! :lol3:

Put 100 rounds through the gun today and I must say i'm feeling good, shooting good, and got a real nice spot waiting for me and my buddies come sept 1st.
17 more days gentleman, i'm expecting field reports from everyone.

Indeed! This will be my 9 yo sons first year hunting, and the doves will be his first real birds that aren't made out of clay. Can't wait for him to experience the real thing!

My son is coming with me for the first time this year as well. He's eight, and won't be hunting, just observing. I can't wait.
