I saw alot of wood ducks yesterday morning at the Los Banos Refuge. There seemed to be quite a few checked in too. Just wondering if this was normal for the refuge or something else.

Not normal for that refuge but certainly very interesting.

There are scattered small populations of them throughout the grasslands, mainly north.....they are slightly increasing in #'s there thanks to "plantings" and habitat work etc.

The back area in Banos is loaded with them.

Nope, haven't heard of any taken from the club yet. Most of the guys I know that hunt the North Grasslands have taken quite a few out of their clubs.[/quote]
