Spotted one of these!

Postby OneLunG » Wed Oct 07, 2009 1:09 am

Was sitting on the famous "Duck Pond" yesterday...Thought it was a nice looking bird, and always have wanted to shoot one...but never have when I've been in the legal zone...

Awesome! Is that a Eider? Take it easy on me I'm new at duck hunting.
Just because it is old dosen't make it a classic

Nice bird, I have a pair mounted(Drake standing on log hen nesting next to him). But those will probably be the only 2 of those I ever shoot. Beautiful birds dont get me wrong but not so great eating. Bowling pin with wings is what my father refers to them as. lol. Nice pic though

Go to Mississippi and kill some. I just moved out to Colorado from there and we'd kill one usually every hunt. It was a duck that we'd shoot if nothing else was flying and we just wanted to waste a shot.I guess its just MS cuz there are none of them in CO
