I'm having a little bit of trouble finding info on Lake Taneycomo as far as hunting goes. I know there is a large population of resident canadian geese there. You can find out if they will be is season from that same link gsphunter gave you. Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals are both regulated by the Army Corp of Engineers. Table Rock Dam is owned by Empire Electric, I think. So Lake Taneycomo does not fall under the same rules at a corp lake. They way those two lakes are set up is by flood control. There is so much shoreline that the corp "ownes". And hunting is allowed in most of that area except private land, state and local parks around the lake as well. A boat would obviously be your best bet at getting into some huntable positions. I would not hunt Table Rock Lake due to the large human population around that part of the lake. I would head to Bull Shoals. It is a lot less populated lake.
If you're into fishing, Lake Taneycomo is one of the best trout fishing tailwaters anywhere. The upper part of the lake, just below the dam sports ideal trophy trout fishing for browns and rainbows. The damn is used for electricity and depending on how many generators they are running, you can easily wade to some very good fishing spots. There is a number you can call to find this out. The trout respond very well to any change in water output. But if you hear the siren take action and start moving to higher ground as water will soon be rising.
Novemeber is a great time to catch a huge brown as the spawing will just be finishing up. Actually a new brown trout state record was just caught last month.
