Anyone familiar with duck hunting on Powwow Pond in Kingston? I am going to be heading out there hopefully this week. Seems like a fairly popular place. I believe there are some old blinds out there. What is proper etiquette regarding use of blinds and areas on a body of water? First come, first serve? Thanks.

You're right, it is a very popular spot....especially early season and before deer season kicks in. I've never hunted it hard, but few times and did well each time....but that was later on and not in the early season. never went on anyone else's 'turf'.... but then again, I have a sneak boat fully grassed and use it accordingly as a blind.

As for using a blind....State regs say first-come gets it at least on open state lands....if private property then a different issue of course.
