Hunting in Providence question?

Postby JDiPerrio » Wed Dec 09, 2009 2:35 pm

Hey guys hope your season is going well. Im stuck down at college at Johnson and Wales right on Narragansett Ave. I have seen o many ducks and geese behind the campus everyday like clock work. I just dont hear any shooting? I was wondering if this spot is huntable? There is prolly 50 geese and 30 ducks on the water as I type and more keep flying through. If this is huntable and not anyones spot I would love to bring my gun and camo down to school...If anyone has any info on this spot I would greatly apprieciate it.
Thank you,
John

The place you have on google maps is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I don't know the local city rules for discharging guns but the hunting laws are 500 feet from an occupied building. I would seriously doubt if hunting is allowed or feasible in that area.

lol I knew that much....The water I was talking about was the big river coming in from the ocean to the right of the arrow on the map, behind narragansett blv.

That 'river' is the upper section of Narragansett bay.

I believe it is huntable, given:
1. 500 feet from an occupied building
2. Discharge seaward only.
