Just moved to CO last week. I've hunted MS my whole life but had to move due to job change.
Are ya'll killing any ducks yet? I only killed 30 or so before I left

Oh i bet youll miss hunting MS.. still not killing many ducks went this morning and our hole was frozen over, broke up the ice, and about 45 minutes froze back over. Needless to say didnt get any ducks.

Oh yeah. Already am. I'm seeing alot of ducks but didn't relly bother to buy a license since theres only two weeks left in the season. There are thousands of geese on the little pond by the house cuz its the only open water. Also a TON of ducks too

I talked to one of my friends back home this morning and he hunted and said all the ducks are just sitting in the river because its the only open water. He got his gun wet getting out of the boat and everything in the action froze so he couldn't shoot all morning :lol3:

sorry bud......but hopefully we will be thawed out by sunday or monday.......the lake still had 4 inch thick ice.....we have a trail broke through the ice to get to our hole and needless to say its not worth the work right now......all the ducks are on the river.....the only word to describe this season right now is "crappy" .

Hopefully the rise in temp will open things up a bit. I think i'm going to give it one more try this weekend and give Arkansas another try next weekend to wrap things up.. Just hard to get motivated when the season has been so slow.. but cant kill them sitting on the couch..

Not too much luck.. Got two mallards. Saw few numbers of workable ducks but late season had them very call shy.. Now its warm enough for shorts! Bass fishing anyone?
