Hey guys this is my first post here, I was with Southern duck hunter until they started charging, but I have a question that I need some help with.
I currently own a 16' Cajun with a 20 hrs go-devil on it. I have had it since 1999 and it has been one tough rig. The only problem is that the boat gets loaded down fast. So a couple of years ago I started looking for a bigger rig. Well here is the question. I have the chance to buy a one year old 18X44 go-devil boat with the following add-ons. Mud buddy fast grass blind, trolling motor mount, split seats walk thru design, poling platform, gun box, mcClain trailer with 14" tires, and a brand new 29 hrs Kolar Mud buddy long tail motor. The total price out the door is $8,400. What do you guys think? I have never owned a go-devil boat, or a mudbuddy motor, so I am not real sure. I think that I am going to go for it, but would like some input. I hunt alot of saltwater. My house is right on the Estero bay. Will this Mudbuddy motor hold up as good in the salt as my go-devil? Anyway if any of you guys have the time to respond I would really appreciate it.
