I'm guessing that the fact you’re not DHC's biggest bad ass was the dead giveaway.

Just finished up with our last hunt if the trip. Not a banner year by any means. With three of us shooting we killed 147 snows, 17 canadas, 2 specks, 40 mallards, 8 pintails, and 1 lone spoonie.

Had high expectations going in, didn't happen all the way. Awesome time though. Think I shot just under 8 boxes of shells, not the best shooting on my part. I did have a couple days when I was on em, the next I couldn't hit sh!t.

I was talking with the one other old timer on our trip. I think it was on the fifth time setting up the snow spread. I said we need some new young guys to do the heavy lifting. He looked me right in the eye and said, "Why do you think you're here?" I knew I was the pack mule. It just wasn't spoken about. Guess I brought it up.

Gonna kill em all next year.

We've got the good clip on eye guards where I work. The folks who wear regular glasses have it easy. Everyone else gets to wear the stupid safety glasses that cover from your eyebrows to the bottom eye lid. Great eye protection from stuff falling. Terrible for anything happening chest height or lower....

I've never seem them before and they seem about worthless. A stiff breeze could blow them out of the way, let alone something dangerous to my eyes.

Sounds like a great time regardless of the number of kills. I'm jealous of you. It's all about the experience and fellowship.

Contents of the rambler package, courtesy of Grizz. One pouch of chewing tobacco, one empty can of Grizzly, one rapala lipped plug, one coozie, one pack of non rust chips, one pack of Billy Bay shad, one bottle of shrimp gel, and a lonesome culprit worm. How thoughtful, and awkward.
