Saskatchewan Regs Change...new Poss. Limits

Postby tenfingergrip » Sun Aug 01, 2010 6:34 pm

In case any of you who hunt Saskatchewan, there has been a new, good change to their possession limit on Ducks and Geese.

The new possession limit is three (3) DAY'S LIMIT, up from previous year's 2 day's.

Can bring more back or can shoot more before having to give some away!

Three times the daily limit for possession is a good attraction to bring in the non residents to help the local economy for some
smaller localities......however it is not that easy to fill the possession limit these days for the typical 3-6 day hunt abroad
on the X in Saskatchewan

I think you are right, REM...also will help the folks that clean birds with additional income.

It'll help us as well, as we stay up there about 3 weeks. Do the upland hunting thing (huns and chickens) early on for the first week in the SE section, then drive about 250 miles north for the big geese and northern greenies for a week, then back south before the freeze up to round out the mallards, snows and Canadas. We carry back our full possession limits across to feed our DU members at the wild game banquet, so an additional 24 Canadas and 24 mallards (three of us) is a bonus for the ravenous DU folks. We stop in South Dakota for three days of pheasant hunting (DU doesn't get my pheasants!!) and then drive on home. Gone exactly one month. Heaven!!
