rigging decoys for reelfoot

Just wondering how you guys rig your decoys. i got a ton of bricks for my ducks and gonna use 2 bricks on my geese. just wondering how i should rig em up.

tarred line but whats the best size?

also do you tie em or crimp them.

what do you use on the brick to tie or crimp the line too?

I wanna do it right the first time is why im asking.

If I was gonna put out a bunch, I would use spreaders. Four or five decoys/spreader, and use only one weight-two or three bricks or a coffee can of quickcrete
