I would recommend Mark Maier of Thunderbay Taxidermy in Alpena. I have sent him four birds for various mounts and all four are excellent. His prices are very reasonablke too: $200-$300 per mount. Good luck

As good as Birdman Studios and Joe is local. Joe is a former world champion and has done a bunch of ducks for me in the last year.

I'm pretty picky, so I see things in mounts others might not, so you might be happier with someone else, but Joe is top tier IMO.

Here is a mount he did for me last year. Trust me, at the point I'm spending $1600 on a mount, I've done my homework on the guy.

Joe has done work for me as well and he is fair priced and delivers high quality and delivers when he says he will. I have used several others who were good also, but on birds, Joe is the best in the area.
