I am not aware of any laws that prohibit hunting from a layout boat anywhere on Lake Guntersville. However, anytime you want information you can call the Alabama DNR Law Enforcement office and ask to speak to an officer. They have always been very helpful to me, I just spoke to them two days ago. Also you can contact the Feds as they have offices in Alabama as well. John Rawls, Special Agent, in Millbrook, Al is a great resource.

just fyi, you aint gonna be killin to many birds out of a layout boat in mud creek, and your liable to get your azz run over, wary gads and layout boats don't really go hand in hand.

I bet the hunting is awesome over there. I've been all over it bowfishing but never been over there to hunt.
If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.
