Got out this morning for a few hours before work and shot two mallards. Seen several good sized flocks and had birds responding to calls pretty well. Don't know if it was because of the impending storm but they were flying good even after I was picking up. Geese started fliying out to feed around 8 which I thought was really early. Hoping to get out at least once or twice more before the season is up, and knock a few more down.

I sat at CJ again
, one lone goose flew over. I wasn't even hunting our blind. My friend and I set up at the mouth of the river where there was open water.
