Hey we got a few small flights of mallards some pintails and gadwall with a medly of other ducks tossed in with the front that came though, but there arn't enough to make for good hunting really. Just a half dozen here and there real wary birds too, I'm thinking our friends up North already gave'em a real good education  Got me a couple anyway, but really had to work for them. Supposed to be 80 degrees here tommarrow  at this rate season will be over before the ducks get here(I guess i'm a little anxious) Not to fret they'll be here soon it's the waiting that drives me nuts.
wow thats all I can say about this year so far. The flock of woodies is great to see and all the mallards that have cupped there wing into the deeks have all been big and fat. Only wish working for a living did not interfer with a living.
Been hunting ducks since the 60's and this is by far the worst start I've ever seen. Been out 5 times so far and have seen only 3 birds, Honkers are everywhere but we can't touch them now.
ive been seeing tons of ducks mostly when i wasn't hunting but i've been out a few times and have got 7 mallards 8 woodies and a blue bill so im pretty happy with that.
Hi guy's...been fiarly slow here...mostly locals not many down from the north yet....have had several days of rain, but the storms have been coming from the south so they have not pushed many ducks or geese our way...have a storm coming across Oregon, maybe that will push some to us.
The ducks have been flocking up heavily here lately. Numbers are great, but there is so much water around that it is hard to get them to pitch in if everything ain't just perfect. The birds have been hunted pretty hard and are very wary. Still, another limit today. 3 mallards 3 gads and a widgeon all drakes.
haven't seen anything around here yet but i live in kansas too
i saw 3 gadwall and about 50 dark geese today and that is by far the most i have seen this season
thanks for the imput on when they might be a-comming guys up north

Nothing from around my parts in KS that I've seen, save a couple of lone geese every once in awhile. Tell us when they're comin', it'll be much appreciated!
I've taken a little less than a dozen malards, a red head and a pin tail. I've taken all birds at the refuge on Harsens Island. Cobra you live in Algonac do you not like the refuge?? I'm looking to hunt with some experinced hunters to learn from. Those in MI what are your schedules like. I can be e-mailed @ bsmith81780@yahoo.com.
