Coming to Tenn. to hunt?

Postby mighty mike » Tue Feb 15, 2011 7:04 pm

Me and some buddies are looking into coming down to Tenn. to hunt Reelfoot Lake. Been talking to Waterfowl unlimited has anyone hunted with them? Who should we hunt with? Looking to have a good time and kill as many different species as possible. (within reason) just throwing that out there. Suggestions and opinions welcome help me decide where to spend my hard earned time and money! Thanks.

Never been there, and people that live there don't use a guide.

I'm sure most that live there don't use guides but i live in MD and don't use a guide but i sure can tell you who i would and wouldn't use as a guide here. Hunters there will still know who to stay away from i'm sure and if i want to travel to another area for better hunting my best option is to use a guide instead of going down there with some equipment little knowledge of the area and screw up a bunch of peoples hunting while i'm there.

Mike Newsom has a GREAT reputation in TN. I have never hunted with him before but I have always heard a lot of positive feed back from people who have. If I was going to book a hunt on reelfoot he is probably who I would use.

Hope this helps.
