Spring Toms

Ok so how did everyone's opener go?

I took my 11 year old nephew, someone shot within about 300 yards of us. Heard one across the river from us before sunup and had one gobble one time after the gunshot and then nothing. Waited a bit and around 8ish we had three does walk up on us and then spooked for some reason. Not too hot but we went at it!!

Even duct tape can't fix stupid ... but it can muffle the sound!

didnt hear a single gobble. so i decided i might just take a nap and about 10 minutes later i took a look around and about 100 yds away here came ol tom right at my decoy. Let him get 30yds and put the ol pepper on him. So it was a good opening weekend for me. I just know that the rest of the year will not be that easy.
