This year was my 3rd season, and I have yet to git a band. While I was out in the field this year, I was talkin to some "veteran" hunters, and they told me it is very uncommon to get one, as in they had not gotten one, or they had just gotten one.

But I know they are out there, cuz one of my buddies bagged a nice banded greenhead in Oct. up at Jims Creek.

Got a few.

Postby ducknut68 » Fri Nov 03, 2006 8:44 am

As far as Alaska Bands go I have gotten 5
4- comman goldeneyes
1- mallard

Then there are the rest:
Illinois
1- mallard
1- canada goose

Tennessee
2-mallard
1- wood duck

Colorado
3-mallard
1-snow goose

The Army has kept me moving and I have been lucky enough to bag a few banded birds. I have been hunting ducks and geese for 24 years and never got a band for the first 15 years I hunted.

Northern Stalker can vouch for me he has seen my bands.
