$119 isn't to bad if it becomes a family heirloom.

It's a waste of money really. The only thing they did was rearrange the books of the bible to the way they were originally ordered.

The Hebrew Old Testament (Tanakh) is in this order: Torah = Law (Gen-Deut), Nevi'im = Prophets (HIstorical and Prophetic books), and Kethuvim = Writtings (Psalms-Chronicles).

The Western Christian bible is ordered TKN...Law, Writtings, Prophets.

If you want a SOLID translation, which is much more accurate to the original, and ordered in the original format...I would suggest the JPS translation of the "Complete Jewish Bible" or the JPS "Hebrew-English Tanakh." Both very good.

If you can read Hebrew...the standard text is the BHS (Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia).
"For the High and Exalted One who lives forever, whose name is Holy says this: 'I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed." - Isaiah57:15
