Remington 11-87 Issues?

Postby thomas.c.mackey » Mon Sep 05, 2011 2:52 pm

Is anyone else having issues with there 11-87. Mine is 2 years old and i have been having nothing but problems with it. My gun will jam rounds, not eject properly and just flat out not work when i need it to. I didnt know if anyone else was having the same problems. And if so what did you do to have Remington fix it?

I have heard a lot of issues with the new 11-87's which made me nervous after using a friends 10 year old 11-87 without a single issue. I went and got the maxus, and its awesome.

i bought the 11-87 super mag waterfowl edition, brand new 2 months ago. i only had one successful hunt with it. the other 6 or so times i took it out it jammed every time i fired it. i have never been so disappointed in my life. i sent it in to remington to be fixed last week and now im waiting to get it back. the remington service representative i talked to totally blew me off and didnt show the slightest bit of concern. and now all im hearing is bad product reviews on the gun. cannot believe i wasted that much money on this gun

What size shells are you guys using? Mine only likes 3" and 3 1/2 " Steel. Never been able to shoot Lead or 2 3/4" Steel through it without jams.

What are you cleaning it with? Rem Oil will lock one up in a hurry. Break it down and soak in some hot soapy water in a tub. Dry all parts off and spray everything down good with croil and reassembly.
