This thread will be edited and updated throughout the season when I can get pictures in from some of the folks I asked to help me out. I would like to make this guide for hunters by hunters with actual pictures of waterfowl from DHC members. I would aso like to get all species included for North America, which means Sea Ducks, Puddle Ducks, Diving Ducks, Geese, Swans, and yes Sandhill cranes, coots, moorhens, and gallinule, even though they are not watefowl. If you would like to help with some pictures or have an ID characteristic that helps you ID a certain species, or have a different name that a certain species is called, you can PM me about it. Pictures I am looking for: Full body of the bird, either dead or alive, close up of the head and neck area, close up of an outstretched wing, and a close up of an outstretched under wing (some species have interesting patterns there).
Widgeon (Hopefully both Eurasian and American)
Fulvous Whistling Duck
Black-bellied Whistling duck
Diving and Sea Ducks:
Geese and Swans:
