I skip the vacuum sealers and freeze my game by hand. I breast out all my birds so I have a boneless skinless breast, then wrap it in saran wrap squeezing out any air bubbles and making sure the whole piece of meat is covered in plastic. Then wrap that in 1 layer of freezer paper. I ate a grouse this fall that I shot 3 years ago and it had zero freezer burn or off taste. Much cheaper than the vacuum sealers and you don't have to worry about running out of those bags. Not that the vacuum sealers don't work well, just offering an alternative.
