Lots of honker, very few ducks and they were way up and out of range. No sign of any flight birds.

Gave up on hunting water, for now, so I set out 4dz field Mallards, 100 Snow and 50 Blue Goose rags this AM in the middle of a 500+ acre field. Had 5 Woodies nearly kill me 10 - 15 minutes before hours, low, fast and 3' away. Only ducks seen. Had family units of Honkers coming in every 5 minutes for an hour and a half, then it slowed to every 15 minutes, they were even trying to land with my truck there picking up. Some Cacklers even landed, man they are small compared to a giant. A Red Fox went after a decoy and a 'yote hung up in the wind a 100yds out looking for a meal. Had a 6pt and 8 does on the outside of the spread but NO ducks seen during hours. Crows, cranes, gulls and terns came in as well as 2 Swans, very little passed overhead more han 50' up. Frustrating is putting it mildly.

Hunted some public water in Kazoo Cty today. No one else there and for good reason, saw only 20 ducks and they acted like locals. Never seen it like this, ever. They're all going to show up at once and I'll be in a deer blind watching them go by. Still alot of time left, but..............

Spent another day on the water. Saw 6 ducks total and no one else out on public water that usually has at least 3 other groups out. Going after Deer in the morning, probably see endless flocks go overhead, it's happened many times before.

Out in the deer blind this AM and saw the first (7) mega V's of swans go over, should be starting soon. Went by a couple of lakes heading home and there was nothing but 100's of honkers on them.

Been working outside near some fair sized private lakes, nothing except honkers and a couple of Mallards. These lakes usually have Buffies, Goleneyes and some 'bills on them by this time.

Geese, Geese, and more Geese.

Big flocks of swans. But, of course, not too many ducks. :pissed:

Had two days in a row without getting skunked, though. Maybe thats a sign of things to come.
