The power of hollowpoint bullets: a video clip

Postby TomKat » Wed Nov 23, 2011 11:36 am

I made this the other day. I have absolutley destroyed some coyotes with this bullet. It is a Speer 70 Grain TNT HP shot out of my Savage Model 10 .243

The reason the movie got made is because it was simply too gory to continue shooting coyotes with these bullets, and I want to use them up. So I thought it might be neat to film me shooting them on my range.

Nice! Those TNT's are sweet shooting little bullets. The 30-caliber ones are 110 grains, I thought I would never get a decent grouping with them out of a 30-06. Boy was I surprised, the first load combo I tried shot around 0.75". I'm still not sure why I bought them but it seemed like a good idea at the time....still haven't shot them at anything. Looks they might make for some "fun" rounds to shoot

they are plenty accurate, but they make a mess out of coyotes. Its gets to where I dont want to hold them up for the pictures...

Holly Crap !!

a 70gr HP out of a .243........................now that has got to HURT !!

a 70gr out of my little 22-250 messes things up just a little, that has to be a real gas, blowing things up with that ammo.
Almost like tossing hand Granades.........................

Looks like the "Slede-amatic" in action.
