Got orders to Beale.

Postby berniebiz » Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:38 pm

Hello all. I am currently stationed at Vance AFB here in Oklahoma and I just got picked up for retraining into Air Traffic Control. I just got an E-mail today saying that I will be PCSing to Beale AFB after I finish my training. Im kind of excited but at the same time disappointed. I just got back from a year long stint in South Korea so I could get stationed here. I was hoping to stay here since I am from the area, but as you know the military's needs come first. I hear the duck hunting there is phenomenal so I am pretty stoked about that. We will just have to see.

My buddy is TDY there right now, and all he can talk about is all the ducks and geese he has been seeing
When she asked me how drunk I was on a scale of 1-10, and I told her a B-, I knew it wasn't gonna go well....

I was stationed at Beale for 5 years. The hunting on base is decent for Waterfowl, Dove, and Quail, Great for Turkey, marginal for everything else. BUT BAFB is close to some of the best refuges in the state! Good luck.
