Netley-Libau Marsh

Postby Tanner Wildes » Mon Feb 13, 2012 1:08 pm

Everybody hears a lot about delta marsh, but what about Netley-Libau Marsh located on the south end of Lake Winnipeg? I have never heard of anybody duck hunting this marsh at all, but delta marsh is close and such a good area. Any info?

Thanks,

It's under hunted I know that. Used to be really popular but pretty quiet out there. Tons of geese and ducks roost in the marsh before heading out to fields in the morning. Good to very good duck hunting from the water.

Tricky to hunt in the sense that a south wind sucks the water out of the marsh. More than one hunter has spent the night stuck because he didn't pay attention to the water in the shallow lakes and bays going down.
