What is ya'lls favorite choke out there? I would like to either get a Patternmaster Code Black or Kick's, but am open to suggestions. Thanks for the help!!

brother has a kicks in his p350 and it doesnt pattern for crap.

I shoot a Carlson's extended steel MOD/ mid range in my maxus and my 870 both pattern great and they dont cost an arm and a leg.

I currently use Carlson but have also used Patternmaster and Briley. I must admit though that I am just starting to get into the aftermarket choke trying arena so I am also interested in other people's experiences with different chokes. But as we all know, the answer to best choke is obviously the one that patterns the best out of your gun for the ammo you are shooting.

Says the guy with Patternmaster in his name

In all seriousness, the Patternmaster chokes I have tried have all been great quality. They just didn't pattern as well for me as the Carlson chokes I currently use did. But I honestly haven't tried the Patternmaster Code Black tubes... I will have to look into them.

I say go with pure gold chokes. there all I shoot for anything. I know the guy who owns the company though so im sorta biased towards them but they really are great chokes. and you can get any kind for any type of shooting. You can find them on the black cloud website or PM me if you wanna check em out and cant find them

I have kicks in my 870 and a carlsons in my 887 remington. like em both but the kicks patterns a lil better. My son shoots a sumtoy custom choke that was built just for his gun. It is non ported and it patterns awesome for turkeys as well. That's all he shoots in his 870 youth.

Personally I like the Kicks High Flyer Full, I haven't had mine long I bought it used and first hunt out I shot 2 about 40 yards and high plastered them both. Then shot another at 55 yards so needless to say a Kicks in my opinion.

I currently shoot a kicks full and like it a lot. I use it from doves to geese. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a trulock supermen waterfowl .685 constriction tube. should be a little tighter than the kicks full I am using now.

Patternmaster I have had in all my guns, I couldn't get them to pattern for crap and they crippled a lot of birds as a result. I had the extended range and the code black duck. I hated all of them.

I like the hevi metal tubes. Pack of 2 for 90$ can't beat it. I shoot the extended range. It just makes me a better shooter for some reason

My daughter has a Rem 870 Youth Compact JR 20 Gauge, uses Hevi Shot Chokes and does great.

Originally we started out with the Hevi Shot Classic Doubles as recoil is down quite a bit. She has stepped upto Hevi Metal 3" #3
s now and done great with them.

Old "original" Patternmaster for my 870/1100
Strait Heat for my SBE
Rob Roberts' Triple Threat for my A400.

All shooting the same load.
